Jaipur : On the request of Rajasthan Assembly Speaker and Ajmer North MLA Vasudev Devnani, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has given a big gift to the Sindhi community in Ajmer district. In which the state government has announced financial assistance of Rs 15,000 per person to the pilgrims going on the Leh-Ladakh Sindhu Darshan Yatra, which is considered the biggest and most sacred of the Sindhi community. During the Sindhu Darshan Yatra, religious and cultural events are held in Leh-Ladakh for four days. This journey starts from 18th June and ends on 30th June.
Passenger will get Rs 15 thousand
According to the information, pilgrims of Sindhi community go on Sindhu Darshan Yatra in Leh-Ladakh every year from 23 to 26 June. This yatra starts from Jammu and Kurukshetra on 18th June and ends officially on 30th June. Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani had recently given a memorandum to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma requesting that the pilgrims going on Sindhu Darshan pilgrimage should also be given financial assistance like other pilgrimages. Taking a decision on this, the state government has announced financial assistance of Rs 15 thousand per pilgrim for the pilgrims.
Darshan Yatra started in 1997
It is noteworthy that in the year 1997, Bharat Ratna and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani had started the Sindhu Darshan Yatra. After which this yatra is organized every year in Leh-Ladakh from 23rd to 26th June. In which a large number of Sindhi religious people participate. Indus river has great importance in Vedas, scriptures and religious beliefs. Indus river is mentioned in almost all the texts. Along with this, Indus river is also mentioned in the Indian national anthem.
Sindhis come from 25 states every year
At the same time, in Sindhi society also the incarnation of Ishta Dev Jhulelal is related to water. In such a situation, this journey is considered very sacred for the followers of Sindhi religion. Every year, Sindhi followers from about 25 states of the country go on this holy journey. This journey starts from Jammu and Kurukshetra and lasts for about 12 days.
