Bhajanlal government gave a big blow, taking lease of land in Rajasthan became expensive

Dausa : The state government has given a big blow to the people of the old settlement. Taking lease of a plot has now become expensive. DLB has increased the lease rates of old settlements by eight times. The government has now fixed the new rates at Rs 200 per square metre. Earlier, leases were being issued for leases in the old population at the rate of Rs 25 per square metre. In such a situation, people taking lease in the old population will have to pay eight times more amount. People of former colonies in Bandikui municipal area will be affected. If sources are to be believed, about 30 percent of the city’s population will be affected by this. Earlier, under the campaign with the cities of the administration, leases were issued to the people at concessional rates in the old population areas.

These areas are included in the old population of the city

About one-third of the town’s area consists of the old population. This area is considered to be inhabited by the population since the time of kings, maharajas and jagirdars. This includes Hospital Road, Balaji Chowk, Agra Gate to High School Road, behind Durbalnath Temple, behind Panchayat Samiti, Anaj Mandi, Barh Bagichi, Badiyal Road, Shyalawas Kothin, Ward No. 19, 20 and 21 and other areas. Due to increase in lease rates, taking lease in these areas has become expensive.

People raised demand from the government to give concession in rates

The people of the old populated area were waiting for the leases for a long time. But instead of reducing the rates, the government increased them drastically. Due to which people’s expectations were dashed. The government should reconsider the increased rates keeping in mind the interests of the common people. And the common people should be given relief by reducing the increased rates again. The government should reduce the rates for leases in old populated areas and for this, special campaigns should be organized and camps should be organised. So that the people of these colonies can get lease. The state government increased the rates for leases in the old population by eight times. In such a situation, it will prove to be an increased financial burden for the people of the older population. This decision will have an impact on people who have been hoping to get leases for a long time.
