Jaipur : Bhajanlal government of Rajasthan has given a big shock to the common people. The government has stopped the free electricity scheme being provided in the state. 100 units of free electricity has been given to the domestic consumers of Rajasthan. But now this scheme has been stopped. The free electricity scheme was started by the previous Gehlot government. But now the government has made it clear that this scheme will not be taken forward. The Rajasthan government has stopped many schemes of the previous Gehlot government by calling them populist. In which now a decision has been taken to stop one more scheme. The closure of this scheme has been announced in the assembly.
Energy Minister answered the question of BJP MLA
Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar said in the Rajasthan Assembly that there is no plan to add the consumers deprived of the Chief Minister’s Free Electricity Scheme to this scheme. On the question asked by BJP MLA Radheshyam Bairwa in the Assembly, the Energy Minister said in a written reply that now no new people will be registered in this scheme. However, he said that only those consumers who are already registered are getting this benefit.
There is no plan to bring deprived consumers under the scheme
About 98.23 lakh people registered in this scheme from June 2023 to March 2024. All the consumers who registered were given the benefit of the scheme. At the same time, for the remaining consumers, it was said that under this scheme, there is a provision to give the benefit of the scheme only on registration of one domestic connection from one Janadhaar. The government has no plan to bring the deprived consumers under this scheme.
