Jaipur News Desk: Before the by-elections in Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal government has made a big move. Taking a big decision regarding cows, the state government has banned the use of words like stray and destitute. Now the word destitute will be used for cow. Along with this, the word ‘stray’ will be used in place of ‘destitute cattle’ in all government orders, guidelines, information letters, circulars and reports.

Regarding this, Dr. Samit Sharma, Secretary of the Cow Husbandry Department, has issued instructions to all the district collectors and chairpersons of the district level Cow Husbandry Committee. In this, cow progeny is considered a part of cultural heritage. In such a situation, the use of the word stray for cows has been considered derogatory and contrary to cultural values. Along with government offices, now the word destitute will be used for cow progeny by all government and aided institutions.
