Jaipur : A cabinet meeting was held in the Chief Minister’s office on Saturday under the chairmanship of CM Bhajanlal Sharma. In the Cabinet meeting, many important decisions were taken including approval of 9 new policies to speed up the industrial and economic development of the state. Besides, the government has also given major information regarding the formation of the 7th State Finance Commission. Employees of Panchayati Raj institutions and municipalities will also get the benefits of the 7th State Finance Commission.
Benefits will be available from April next year
Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa said that the proposal to constitute the 7th State Finance Commission for Panchayati Raj Institutions and Municipalities was approved. The award period of this commission will be from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2030. Dr. Bairwa said that the Cabinet has approved the recommendations of the Employee Pay Discrepancy Examination Committee constituted under the chairmanship of retired IAS Khemraj Choudhary regarding removing pay discrepancies, salary reforms and providing additional opportunities for promotion. Let us tell you that during the discussion on the Finance and Appropriation Bill, the Chief Minister had announced to implement the recommendations related to salary anomalies and salary reforms from September 1 this year.

In the meeting, many important decisions related to the development of the state were taken, including bringing ordinance for formation of development authorities in Bikaner and Bharatpur, amendment in various service rules, bringing The Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Bill 2024.
