Jaipur : Rajasthan’s Bhajanlal government is reversing more decisions of the previous Gehlot government. Now the state government will review the 86 municipal bodies formed during the Congress government. It is believed that the government can abolish many new municipal bodies. In which Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota can again have one municipal corporation each. Whereas the Gehlot government had created 2 municipal corporations each in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota. UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra said that after the formation of 2-2 municipal bodies, the government has received complaints on many newly formed municipal bodies. He said that the Congress government had created 86 new municipal bodies. Now it is being reviewed. Its report will be given to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
Indications of getting the wards delimited again
Minister Kharra said that the Congress government delimited the municipalities, which has many flaws. There is a difference of about 300% in the population or number of voters in the wards formed at that time. Regarding this, Minister Kharra has indicated to get the delimitation of the wards reversed.
Committee also formed on new districts
Due to this, Bhajan Lal government has also formed a committee regarding 19 new districts. In which a committee of four ministers has been formed. A sub-committee has been formed under the leadership of a retired IAS, which will study various areas including geographical, economic of all the new districts. After which Bhajan Lal government will decide whether the new districts will remain or not.
