Jaipur : In the matter of giving the state’s power substations on contract, the BJP government has also followed the path of the previous Congress government. Rajasthan State Electricity Transmission Corporation is once again giving 150 grid substations of 132 KV capacity on contract for operation and maintenance. About 95 crore rupees will be spent for this. The serious thing is that just two days ago, a private contracted company refused to handle those GSSs, which were given on contract before the end of the Congress government. Scared by this, the corporation officers have had to send their employees to the substations in a hurry. Despite such circumstances, some senior officers are putting the power system in danger in order to oblige their own people. So far, 255 GSSs have been given on contract.
The situation worsened here, the company gave up
-In the previous government, just before the imposition of the election code of conduct, on October 6, 2023, the work of operation maintenance of 72 GSS was handed over to GBS Enterprises.
-In the recent past, the company’s employees stopped coming to many GSSs. This posed a threat of the transmission system being affected. On September 12, the Transmission Corporation had to issue orders to send its employees to all such GSSs.
-The company sent a letter to the corporation officials on September 13, in which it refused to pay salaries to the employees by informing that the financial condition would improve.
