Jaipur : Before Diwali, Bhajan Lal government has given a big gift to the government employees of the state. Employees included in RGHS will now be able to get treatment for their parents-in-law as well. Rajasthan government has amended the rules on the lines of CGHS of the Central Government to provide benefits to seven lakh employees of the state.
According to the order of Bhajan Lal government, now male and female personnel will get the option of including either parents or in-laws for medical facility in RGHS. Provided that parents or in-laws are dependent and reside with the male or female personnel. Step parents can also be included in this. Apart from this, unmarried, unemployed children up to 25 years of age can also be treated at government expense, disabled children will also be included in this.
Increase in allowance for pensioners after they cross the age limit of 70 years
On the other hand, according to another order issued by the Finance Department, employees receiving pension and their dependents receiving family pension after them will now be given an additional allowance of 5 percent on age above 70 years and 10 percent on age above 75 years. This allowance will be given till the age of 80 years and the benefit of interim relief will not be given on it.
