Jaipur : After getting a big Diwali gift for the central employees, now good news is coming for the government employees of Rajasthan also. The Bhajanlal government of the state has started the process to increase DA-DR. It is believed that like the Centre, there will be a three percent increase in DA of state government employees. If the increase in DA of government employees is implemented, the DA-DR of officers and employees falling under the seventh pay scale will increase to 53 percent. The benefit of 3 percent increase will be given from July.
Finance Department’s proposal will be sent to the Election Commission
Since the election code of conduct is in force in seven districts, the Finance Department’s proposal in this regard will go to the Election Commission. It is believed that after the approval from the Election Commission, the increased amount since July will be deposited in the GPF accounts of serving officers and employees and cash payments will be made from now on. At the same time, retired officers and employees will get cash payment of the amount due from July till now.
Center increased DA a day before
Let us tell you that before this, on Wednesday, Modi government gave a big gift to the central employees before Diwali. The Union Cabinet approved the proposal to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) of more than one crore employees and pensioners by three percent. The increase will be effective from July 1, 20214. That means employees will get three months’ arrears. Due to increase in DA, the rate of dearness allowance payable to central employees has now increased from 50 to 53 percent.
