Bharatpur : A 10 year old child who was drinking water from a roadside water tank was hit by a speeding unknown vehicle. The child died in the accident. The police reached the information and kept the body in the mortuary of the sub-district hospital. The incident took place at 4:30 pm on Sunday evening between villages Anchera and Ussar on Januthar road of Nadbai police station area of Bharatpur region.
The child’s father Mahesh told that his son Suraj (10) had gone to the water tank situated on the roadside in the village at around 4:30 in the evening to drink water. Meanwhile, a speeding vehicle coming from Nadbai hit him. The collision was so strong that people nearby ran to the spot after hearing the loud noise. People immediately took the child to the Government Sub District Hospital with the help of a private vehicle. After reaching the hospital, the doctors after investigation declared Suraj dead.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot, investigated and took the body into custody and kept it in the mortuary of the Government Sub District Hospital for postmortem. Eyewitnesses said that many accidents have happened in the past due to the high speed of vehicles on the road.
