Bharatpur : Bayana SDM Deepak Mittal and Municipality EO Naib Tehsildar Ankur Jain visited the markets along with the Safai Branch employees. Also took stock of the cleanliness system and temporary encroachments. During the inspection, the officers gave a strict warning to the shopkeepers who encroach by keeping goods in the road limits in front of the shops. The SDM said that if the encroachments are not removed voluntarily soon, then action will be taken to issue challans and confiscate goods.
Along with this, he instructed the fruit and chaat sellers to keep dustbins at their shops. For this, advice was given to put the waste from shops in designated garbage collection vehicles and to stop the use of polythene plastic. When a person was seen setting fire to the garbage lying on the road in Lal Darwaza area of the town, the SDM reprimanded him severely and got the same person to pour water on him to extinguish the fire. However, many people complained that the cleaning workers themselves also set fire to the garbage. This pollutes the environment.
