Bharatpur : Cyber police station of the district has arrested two accused in the case of fraud of Rs 6 lakh through Telegram app. These accused are Sarfaraz (38), resident of Burhanpur (Madhya Pradesh) and Anurag Mali (21), resident of Merta City, Nagaur. Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachhawa said that Sahdev Singh, resident of Karai Nadbai, had lodged a report at the cyber police station on July 8. It was told in the complaint that unknown people have cheated him of Rs 6 lakh through Telegram link. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a special team was formed under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Jasoria and under the leadership of Inspector Jitendra Gangwani.
On the basis of technical investigation, the police identified the accused and arrested them. Investigation revealed that accused Sarfaraz had opened a new bank account and SIM card and given it to Anurag in greed of Rs 4,000. Anurag sold it to another friend of his for Rs 15,000. Apart from this, Anurag also took another account from Yogesh of Burhanpur for Rs 4000 and sold it further at a profit. Police say that the interrogation of the accused is going on and their other networks are also being investigated. Both the accused will be presented in the court on Tuesday. Police campaign against fraud continues.
