Bharatpur : Police has arrested an accused of cheating a retired officer of Rajasthan Roadways by luring him into the trap of sextortion. The accused is a college student, who is a second year BA student.
The accused had cheated an elderly person of Rs 64 thousand by threatening to share the nude video on social media. Inquiry is continuing in the matter.
SP Mridul Kachhawa said – On June 14, a retired officer of Rajasthan Roadways, resident of Bharatpur, had filed a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Portal. He told that on June 13, some people made a video call. After this the accused made an obscene video of her. They started threatening to upload it on YouTube and demanded money for not doing so.
The officer transferred money online to the accused three times. The officer transferred Rs 64 thousand 987 online to the accused three times. After this, on July 1, the officer registered a case in the cyber police station. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police formed a team, which arrested Arun Kumhar (21), resident of Raibka district Alwar.
