Bharatpur : Bharatpur ACB, while taking action in Rupwas area, has arrested a senior veterinary officer for taking a bribe of Rs 1,000. The veterinary officer had demanded a bribe of Rs 2,000 to verify the fodder and water loan for animals. During verification the animal officer took a bribe of Rs 1 thousand. ACB caught him today while taking bribe of remaining Rs 1000.
ACB’s Additional SP Amit Chaudhary said that the complainant had appeared at the Bharatpur ACB post and given a complaint that in lieu of verifying the fodder-water loan form for his four animals, Senior Veterinary Officer Saurabh Kumar Gupta was extorting Rs 500 per animal from him. They are asking for bribe accordingly.
A bribe of Rs 2,000 has been demanded from the senior veterinary officer. After which the complaint was verified. During verification, the Senior Veterinary Officer took a bribe of Rs 1,000 from the complainant. After which the remaining bribe of Rs 1,000 was to be given today. The complainant reached the veterinary hospital to pay the remaining Rs 1,000. As soon as the complainant gave a bribe of Rs 1,000 to the Senior Veterinary Officer, he was caught red handed by the ACB.
