Bhilwara : Bhilwara District Collector Namit Mehta inspected Elite Private Diagnostic Sonography Center on Wednesday. The Collector examined the track record of the machines at the centre, fees charged from patients coming for examination, record collection etc.
The District Collector said that there is a complete ban on fetal sex determination. These centers are inspected from time to time so that no irregularities are found at the centres. The sonography centers registered in the district under the PCPNDT Act, 1994 were inspected.
The District Collector gave instructions to match the online and offline records of sonography at the centre. He also inspected the publicity material posted at the center and also gave instructions to maintain proper records at the center so that any kind of irregularity can be detected. During this, the cleanliness and facilities at the center were checked and the quality of service was evaluated.
CMHO Dr. CP Goswami said that through the State Government’s Maa Voucher Scheme, the facility of free sonography test is being provided through QR code by the nearest authorized private sonography centers in the district.
Under the scheme, more than 11 hundred pregnant women have got the benefit of free sonography. The benefits of this state government scheme are being given to pregnant women at 37 registered private testing centers in the district.
