Bhilwara : Sighting of Leopard in Bijolia since last 3 days has spread panic among the people of the surrounding area. On Monday night, the leopard entered an enclosure and hunted the calf. During this time, as soon as the villagers shone torchlight towards the leopard, the leopard jumped over the wall and ran away. The villagers have demanded the forest department to catch the leopard by installing a cage. The incident took place in Udpuriya village at 2 o’clock on Monday night.
Villager Mangilal Kirad told that the leopard had killed two calves in the enclosure of Khemchand Kirad two days ago. After which, late last night, the leopard entered into the cow shed in the colony inside the village, hunted a cow calf and started eating its meat there.
Eyewitness Suresh Kirad, who lives near the enclosure, said that after hearing the sounds of cows screaming, he climbed on the roof of his house and saw a leopard hunting. After which as soon as the torchlight was shone towards him, he jumped over the wall and ran towards the forest. In the past also many incidents have happened in the village regarding leopard. A demand has been made to forest department to catch the leopard by placing a cage in it.
Let us tell you that on Saturday morning also a leopard had attacked a woman working in the fields in Aroli village. Due to which she was injured.
