Bhilwara : PWD and Ground Water Department Minister Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary termed the work done under Jal Jeevan Mission in Rajasthan as poor. During a program in Bhilwara on Thursday, he said- Poor work has been done in Jal Jeevan Mission in Rajasthan. By March 2024, the work under the scheme was completed in almost all the states, but due to slow pace in Rajasthan, only 50 percent of the target work has been completed. How to increase the speed of work, this is our thinking.
Ground Water Department Minister Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary said this during a meeting with officials of the Public Health Engineering Department of Bhilwara-Shahpura districts at the Circuit House in Bhilwara. They were getting information about drinking water arrangements. Earlier, as part of his one-day visit to Bhilwara, he reached the closing ceremony of the 57th State Level Science Fair at PM Shri Government School in Mandal town. He said- Our aim is to complete the remaining target in one year. In the last 4 years, 50 lakh connections were to be given to every house in Rajasthan, but it was not done. When we go to villages and talk to public representatives, we come to know that the quality of work is very poor and water is not reaching many places.
The pipeline was laid without a proper source of water. Now we are arranging the source. For Bhilwara region, we have started work on about 150 MDLKs from Rawatbhata to Bhilwara and further to Bhim.
