Bhilwara workers demonstrated at the Collectorate and submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister

Bhilwara : Indian Trade Union Center CITU organized a state level protest day outside the Collectorate on Tuesday and presented a demand letter to the Prime Minister in the name of the Collector.

Provincial representative Omprakash Dewani said that in the demand letter, the government has demanded withdrawal of Labor Code law, implementation of minimum wage at Rs 26,000, equal pay for equal work, stopping the contract system, making Anganwadi scheme workers permanent, schemes for construction workers. A memorandum was given regarding the demands of implementing assistance, getting payment to the textile workers locked in Bhilwara etc.

Dewani said that in Bhilwara, the workers expressed anger over the closure of the institutions by the textile managers without giving any account to the workers. During this, Textile Workers Union President Sonu Sharma, Saddam Hussain, Ramniwas, Ganesh Gehlot, Sonu Mali, Hakim Mohammad, Surendra Bishnoi, Motilal, Dinesh Meena, Jagdish, Narendra Maratha and Manohar Soni were present.
