Jaipur : A team of Food Safety Department of Rajasthan on Tuesday inspected the factory of ‘Vinayak Milk Food Product’ which manufactures Rasgulla, Rajbhog, Kesarbati under several brands in Bhilpura Sirsali village of Jalsu tehsil of Jaipur and seized 20 thousand kilograms of Rasgulla, Rajbhog, Kesarbati which are extremely harmful for health.
Rasgullas were being cooled in cold water
Additional Commissioner Pankaj Ojha said that when the team of Food Safety Department inspected the factory of Vinayak Milk Food Products, Rasgullas were being made there in extreme filth. Bees, insects etc. were lying in the milk and syrup. Rasgullas were being cooled in dirty water.
There was a foul smell in the factory
He said that the smell in the company’s factory was so strong that no person could stay inside. Ojha said that Kesar Bati, Rajbhog, Rasgulla, Rasmalai etc. were being packed here under the name of many brands including Jain Spongy Kesar Bati, Sudama Kesar Bati, Vinayak Rasgulla, Plain Rasgulla, Bikaneri Shri Ram Rasgulla, Shri Ram Fresh Rasgulla, Vinayak Rasgulla, Vinayak Rajbhog.
20 thousand KG Rasgulla, Rajbhog, Kesar Baati seized
He said that about 20,000 kilograms of prepared Rasgulla, Rajbhog, Kesar Baati were confiscated here. Artificial colours were being mixed in these milk products. He said that Rasgullas etc. were being prepared in conditions that were extremely harmful to health and were being supplied all over India. Milk, syrup, sugar, ghee, all had insects and flies in them.
