Dausa : After the imposition of code of conduct for by-elections on seven assembly seats in Rajasthan, police and administration have come into action on these seats. The first action has taken place on warehouse mode in Dausa district. A pile of currency notes was found from the car of a businessman from the capital Jaipur at the warehouse mode located in the Sadar police station area of the district. The businessmen were going towards Gurgaon… Delhi in their car. On receiving information about the notes, the police conducted a raid under the leadership of CO Ravi Sharma and Sadar Police Station Incharge Hawa Singh.
When the police requested to get the vehicle checked, the businessman refused to get it checked. After this, the police took necessary steps and called the team and videographer. During the search of the vehicle, cash worth Rs 1 crore 95 lakh 50 thousand was recovered. Which was immediately confiscated. This amount was found under suspicious circumstances, due to which the police took further action. The businessman could not give any answer regarding this amount. Both cash and car have been confiscated. Also the businessman has been detained.
Now the vehicle has been parked at Sadar police station and the investigation of the case is going on. This incident has once again highlighted the need for financial transparency in the electoral environment. By-elections are going to be held in Dausa assembly constituency. Murarilal Meena, who was the MLA from this seat, has now become an MP. After him this seat has become vacant. Congress is trying hard to regain control of this seat. At the same time, this seat is also a matter of concern for Minister Kirodi Lal Meena, for which voting will be held on November 13. Keeping this incident in mind, the local administration and the Election Commission are trying to make the election process smooth. Strict monitoring will be maintained to reduce the influence of money in the upcoming elections.
