Sawai Madhopur News Desk: There has been a stir in the police department after an order by Sawai Madhopur Superintendent of Police Mamta Gupta late on Monday night. The SP suspended four constables and a driver constable of the Sawai Madhopur District Special Team (DST), including police sub-inspector Punjab Singh. After this action of SP, there is panic in the police department. On the other hand, the action of suspension of policemen involved in DST is being linked to their involvement in illegal gravel transportation. However, in the order the SP has cited pending investigation against them.

According to the order, a preliminary inquiry is proposed against DST sub-inspector Punjab Singh, constables Udayraj, Trilok Chand, Akhilesh Kumar, Andaram and driver constable Iqrar Ahmed. In such a situation, using the powers conferred by Rule 13 of the Rajasthan Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1958, they are suspended with immediate effect. During the suspension period, their headquarters will be Reserve Police Line Sawaimadhopur.
