Jaipur : Jaipur Municipal Corporation will conduct a survey in the city to identify Bangladeshi citizens and Rohingya Muslims from Burma living in different areas of Jaipur, Rajasthan. A meeting of the Retail Business Rehabilitation Committee of Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation was held on Monday, July 15. In this meeting, a survey of hutwaras and street vendors in all parts of the city will be conducted. An attempt will be made through the survey to find out how many people are residents of Rajasthan or different states of India. Along with this, a separate investigation will be conducted of those who have come to India illegally from Bangladesh and Burma. The corporation team will check all types of documents in its survey. Aadhar card and other documents will be checked along with the identity card of those who set up shops in Hatwara and those who set up carts as street vendors.
First identify Rohingyas and Bangladeshis, then the law will be implemented
Arun Sharma, Chairman of the Retail Business Rehabilitation Committee, said that information will be collected through the survey, especially about foreign nationals. It will be ascertained who are living in Jaipur illegally. Sharma said that the main objective of this survey is to drive out Rohingyas and intruders from the city. He said that many times criminal incidents take place in the city in which outsiders are more suspected of committing the crime. By driving out intruders and Rohingyas from Jaipur, the crimes can also decrease.
Municipal corporation will issue new license
Arun Sharma said that every day there are ‘Hatwara’ in more than 100 colonies of Jaipur city. In these ‘Hatwara’, everyday goods and fruits and vegetables are available to the people at reasonable rates. This is a good medium of business for small traders and people also get essential goods at low prices. There is a possibility of untoward incidents due to the entry of Rohingyas and intruders in such ‘Hatwara’. Keeping in mind the business of such small businessmen, the Municipal Corporation will issue new licenses. Entry will not be given to those without license i.e. outsiders. The same formula will be adopted for street vendors.
Infiltrators camp in Jaipur
Committee Chairman Arun Sharma says that he has received many complaints in which it is said that Bangladeshis and Rohingyas are camping. Most of the illegal immigrants living in Jaipur have illegally occupied the roads and footpaths in VIP colonies. Traffic jams occur due to them. To make the traffic system smooth and reduce criminal incidents, it is necessary to survey the immigrants and expel them.
