Jaipur : Sanjay Circle police station has arrested Lawrence gang henchman Rajendra alias Joker from Bathinda jail in connection with threatening a businessman of the city. Joker was in jail in the Punjab singer Sidhu Moosewala murder case. The accused Joker has been arrested from jail and brought from Bathinda to Jaipur. Let us tell you that till now the police have arrested eight accused in the case of threatening a Jaipur businessman. DCP (North) Rashi Dogra Dudi said that the arrested accused used to recruit new operatives for Lawrence Gang while in jail and gather information about influential people. After obtaining the number through social media, he used to send it to the gang leader Rohit Godara sitting abroad. Godara would then threaten these influential people through internet calls and demand extortion.
Maya Madam was also included among the arrested accused.
Police have so far arrested eight accused including a woman in this case, which also includes Maya Madam alias Renu. Maya used to meet Joker in Bathinda jail and convey instructions to other gang operatives and Rohit Godara. Other arrested accused include Haresh Shailesh, Sachin Verma, Yogesh Saini, Mohammad Akil Mansoori, Harendra Bishnoi and Deepak Sain.
Now the accused is on police remand
Additional DCP Bajrang Singh Shekhawat said that two businessmen of the city were being threatened by the gang. The arrested accused was produced in the court on Tuesday, from where he has been handed over on police remand.
