Jaipur : The very next day of the start of the budget session of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly (Rajasthan Budget Session 2024), Agriculture Minister Kirori Lal Meena in the Bhajanlal government has announced his resignation. That is why now the responsibility of the Agriculture Department in the House will be with KK Vishnoi (Krishan Kumar Vishnoi). The government has handed over the charge of the Agriculture Department to him. That is, KK Vishnoi will now be seen answering questions related to the Agriculture Department in the Assembly.
Speculations about Kirori Lal Meena’s resignation were being made since the results of the Lok Sabha elections were announced on June 4, because BJP had lost 4 out of the 7 seats for which PM Modi had entrusted him the responsibility to win. At that time, he had also hinted at his resignation by writing two lines from Shri Ramcharitmanas through his ex account. But the request of the high command and the CM kept him waiting for several days. But finally on June 20, he resigned from his post, and today, exactly 1 month after the results were announced, he himself announced his resignation.
Kirori Lal Meena has won the MLA election 6 times. His influence in eastern Rajasthan can be understood from the fact that he has won from four different assembly constituencies including Mahwa, Todabhim, Sawai Madhopur and Bamanwas. Apart from this, he won the Lok Sabha elections from two different seats Dausa and Sawai Madhopur and later BJP sent him to the Rajya Sabha before the 2018 assembly elections. His image is that of a farmer leader. Kirori Lal is also known as “Baba”.
