Jaipur : The state government has changed the names of 7 schemes of the previous Congress government amid the assembly by-elections. All these schemes are linked to the Women and Child Development Department. ‘Indira Mahila’ was attached to the name of these schemes, which has been removed. This step of the state government is being seen as a big bet before the assembly by-elections to be held next month. The previous government had announced the Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Nidhi in the budget for 2019-2020. The government has also merged Shiksha Setu Yojana into Kalibai Bhil Mahila Sambal Yojana. The BJP government has changed the names of these schemes started during the Congress government.
