Jaipur News Desk: A network of roads is continuously being constructed in Rajasthan. In this series, the Central Government has now approved Rs 1154.47 crore for the development of roads in the state. A network of 27 roads will be laid in 17 districts of the state with the amount of Rs 1154.47 crore approved by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Along with the widening and strengthening work of 748.80 kilometers of roads in the state, a high level bridge will be constructed on Kalisindh river in Kota. At the same time, Rs 30 crore has been approved for the construction of railway under bridge in Sriganganagar.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari had met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said that road projects of Major District Road (MDR) and State Highway category will be widened and strengthened in 17 districts of 15 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state. The construction of these roads will not only facilitate transportation but will also boost trade, tourism and agriculture sectors.
High level bridge in Kota and roads will be built in these districts
With the funds received from the Central Government, a high level bridge will be constructed on Kalisindh River in Kota at a cost of Rs 70 crore. At the same time, 24 km in Alwar district at a cost of Rs 24 crore, 51 km in Khairthal-Tijara district at a cost of Rs 69 crore, 28.62 km in Kotputli-Behror district at a cost of Rs 49.30 crore, 49 km in Balotra district at a cost of Rs 57.50 crore, 44 km in Shahpura district at a cost of Rs 74 crore, in Bikaner district at a cost of Rs 73.30 crore. 71.80 km roads will be constructed in Pratapgarh district at a cost of Rs 20 crore, 17 km in Pratapgarh district at a cost of Rs 20 crore, 57.70 km in Jaipur Rural district at a cost of Rs 65 crore. Apart from this, 49 km in Jalore district at a cost of Rs 65 crore, Rs 149.97 crore in Jhalawar district. 81.25 km in Phalodi district at a cost of Rs. 53 km in Bundi district at a cost of Rs. 55.65 crore 33 km at a cost of Rs 80 crore, 67 km in Jodhpur Rural of Pali at a cost of Rs 98 crore, 58 km in Rajsamand at a cost of Rs 70 crore, 25.43 km in Tonk at a cost of Rs 58.50 crore and 39 km in Udaipur at a cost of Rs 65.25 crore. Roads will be constructed.
