Alwar : even before Diwali, good news has come for women. 1.50 lakh women of Alwar district will get offices to work. The Zilla Parishad is preparing to create workplaces at every Gram Panchayat level. Its objective is that if the women of women self-help groups work together at one place, the quality of the products will improve. There are 13 thousand women self-help groups across the district. From sewing clothes to bread making and jute goods are being prepared by these women. Apart from making pickles, papad, murabba, they are making handicrafts and terracotta items. These products are being sent not only in the district but also to many other cities. Women are running their families with the income generated from this. Due to lack of proper work environment at home, their work also gets affected. Keeping this in view, now preparations are being made to provide them a work palace. Preparations are underway to build a new building in the Panchayat.
10 to 15 women in a group
10 to 15 women are associated with a women’s self-help group. Groups are continuously working to connect other women. Due to increase in the number of women, it is necessary to search for their workplace also. Under this, the Zilla Parishad is preparing to work on this.
