Jaipur : The Bhajan Lal government is now preparing to merge the two municipal corporations created by the previous Congress government in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota cities. Urban Development and Autonomous Governance Minister of Rajasthan Government, Jhabar Singh Kharra, who was on a visit to Nagaur on Sunday, hinted at this while talking to journalists.
He told that in this regard, opinions are being taken from the common man and public representatives. Nearly 99 percent of the people are of the opinion that this division has been done wrongly. This has put unnecessary financial burden on the government and the system in the cities has deteriorated. Regarding holding the elections of local bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions simultaneously, Minister Kharra said that this work will definitely be done. In the last five years, separate elections were held in Rajasthan, the previous Congress government kept enjoying itself in hotels. When the elections will be held in two months, they will definitely be troubled. He said that 13 lakh leases will be investigated, although it will definitely take time, but the investigation will definitely be done.
