Bharatpur : Under the Operation Antivirus campaign, Kaman police of Deeg district took a major action. The police have arrested 9 miscreants who committed cyber fraud in a hilly area. However, during the operation, 4 thugs managed to escape by dodging the police. Police have also recovered fake SIM card, smartphone and Rs 65 thousand from the spot. Investigation revealed that these thugs used to cheat in the name of getting jobs in Railways. Whereas sometimes they used to make people victims through blackmail and sometimes through many other tricks.
Cheating through false advertisement on social media
Cama police station officer Manish Sharma said that the police team had raided the hilly area of Kanwada. 9 cyber thugs were arrested from this area. These miscreants used to share many types of false advertisements on online platforms in a planned manner. Then whoever fell into their trap, a huge amount was collected from them. These accused, who were caught by the police, have also committed fraud on the pretext of getting a job in the Railways.
Used to record nude videos and loot money by posing as fake police officers
Apart from this, these accused also used to extort money from people by blackmailing. First a call was made to the person and then a nude video was played in front of him. During this time, the video of the person connected to the video call was also recorded. After this, the accused used to call the police officer by putting his photo in WhatsApp DP on his mobile and threatened to take action. In return for not taking action, a huge amount was charged from him.
190 thugs caught in Kaman within 10 months
During the last 10 months, 180 cyber thugs have been caught in Kaman police station area. Action is going on against many such miscreants. In fact, Operation Antivirus is being run to end crime in Mewat area, which has become a den of cyber thugs. Bulldozer action is also being taken against the luxurious houses which have been built through black acts of fraud. The effect of the campaign being run under the direction of IG Rahul Prakash and SP Rajesh Kumar Meena is also clearly visible.
