Udaipur : Police has got a big success in Udaipur district of Rajasthan, because on November 5, the police have arrested four miscreants who committed robbery by holding a 64-year-old old woman hostage in her house. Udaipur’s Sukher police station and DST caught all four with the looted goods on Thursday. Udaipur SP Yogesh Goyal said that after the incident, teams were formed to search for the accused.
After which the team started searching for the accused by collecting technical resources and information from around the incident site. More than 100 CCTV footages of the surrounding area were scrutinized by the team and the identities of the miscreants were obtained.
Thieves caught from the car involved in the crime
SP further said that the search was started on the basis of information received by the police. Meanwhile, the team received information about the movement of a suspicious Hyundai Eon car from Bhilwara district. On this a team was sent to Bhilwara. After this the team traced the owner of the Hyundai car but its owner was not found at home. After this, when the team continuously chased him, information was received that the accused Deepak Chandalia was in Jaipur. On this the team reached Jaipur and detained accused Deepak Jain from Sanganer area along with the looted goods.
Police recovered stolen goods
Yogesh Goyal further said that during the initial interrogation itself, the accused admitted to carrying out the incident. During interrogation, Deepak Jain told that his three other associates Laxman Rawat, Omprakash and Shivdayal were also involved in the crime. After this, the police also arrested Dabish and his three other associates at the locations mentioned by the accused Deepak.
Theft was done to repay the loan
According to the information, the mastermind behind the crime works in an investment company and was addicted to betting. He had a lot of debt, due to which he committed this crime. It is noteworthy that on November 5, two youths came to a house in Sukher police station area of Udaipur and entered the house saying that a ball was coming on the roof, took the woman hostage and ran away with jewelery worth Rs 20 lakh. After this the police arrested the three accused with the stolen goods. Along with this, the police also recovered the car used in the crime.
