Jaipur : Metro will pick up speed to provide relief from increasing traffic jams in the capital Jaipur. Preparations are being made to run the metro on a route longer than 61 km. A big step has been taken towards implementing the second phase of Jaipur Metro and running the metro on a new route. Tender has been issued to implement the second phase of Jaipur Metro soon and to run the metro on a new route.

In the new DPR, the metro administration is also looking at such places where metro is needed in future. Keeping this in mind, a feasibility report will be prepared. The report that will be prepared will be sent to the state government. Jaipur Metro will start the work of preparing DPR on those routes for which the government will give approval.

Work will be done on the possibility of metro from Badi Chaupar via Sanganeri Gate, Ravindra Manch and Ramniwas Bagh.
Similarly, the possibility will be explored in the feasibility report for running metro from Transport Nagar to Sanganeri Gate.

The government is also thinking of a plan to directly connect Mansarovar and Sanganer airports.
The government has asked Metro officials to make a plan from Mansarovar to the airport via New Sanganer Road, Sanga Setu and Sanganer Police Station.
Phase 02: Possibilities of taking the metro beyond Sitapura to RUHS are being considered.
