Patna, 20 November (IANS). The Indian women’s hockey team clinched the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024 title with a 1-0 win over China in the final at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium in Bihar on Wednesday. After this victory, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced to give Rs 10 lakh each to every player and coach of the winning team.
The Chief Minister wrote on social media platform In the trophy, India has created history by registering a 1-0 win over China in the final match, which is a matter of pride for the entire country.
He said that this victory reflects the hard work, energy and patience as well as determination of the Indian team. He also wished the Indian women’s hockey team all the best for the future.
CM Nitish Kumar announced the rewards to the players in another post on Twitter. He wrote, “The state government will reward all the members of the winning team and the team’s head coach Harendra Singh with a cash amount of Rs 10 lakh each. The rest of the support staff of the team will also be rewarded with a cash amount of Rs 5 lakh each. “
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also congratulated and congratulated the winning team and expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister on the announcement of rewarding the players and coaches.
He said, “This will greatly boost the morale of women players towards sports. I express my immense gratitude to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for this decision.”
