Bikaner : Bhairav Ashtami will be celebrated on 23rd November. Lord Kaal Bhairav was born on the Ashtami of Margashis Krishna Paksha, hence this date is known as Kaal Bhairavashtami or Bhairavashtami. This time Brahma Yoga and Indra Yoga are being formed on the day of Bhairavashtami. In this yoga, by worshiping Kaal Bhairav Dev, the fierce form of Lord Shiva, the seeker will get relief from all kinds of physical and mental troubles. Also, one does not have to face the problems that come in life.
Astrologer Pandit Harinarayan Vyas Mannasa explains that Bhairavashtami is also known as Kalashtami. Mannasa explains that in Shiva Purana, Bhairav has been described as the complete form of Lord Shiva. In the scriptures, Bhairavnath is considered to be the Gana of Lord Shiva. At the same time, he is also considered a follower of Mother Durga. Bhairavji is considered the god of night. The special time of their worship is also from 12 to 3 in the midnight. Only Kaal Bhairav can do any impossible task. Bhairav ji has a distinct importance in astrology. If Rahu is situated in the 6th, 8th, 12th house in the horoscope of a person and there is a condition of Rahu, then the person should offer Imarti and Kachori to Lord Bhairav on Sunday. The person should also anoint Bhairav with oil.
Lord Ganesha, Vishnu, Chandra and Kuber also observed the fast of Bhairavashtami: It is mentioned in the Puranas that Bhairav is another form of Lord Shiva. On this day, Lord Shiva’s favorite Gana Bhairavnath was born. Even Kaal is afraid of Bhairav, that is why he is also known as Kaalbhairav. Bhairavashtami fast was also observed by Shri Ganesh, Vishnu, Yam, Chandrama, Kuber etc. Due to the effect of this fast, Lord Vishnu became the husband of Goddess Lakshmi. This is the best fast to fulfill all the wishes. One who observes this fast gets freedom from great sins. He gets happiness and prosperity. One who worships and worships Kalbhairav gets the good fortune of staying in Shivlok for one hundred crore Kalpas. Only by having darshan of Lord Bhairav on Kaal Bhairav Ashtami can humans get freedom from inauspicious deeds. In many families in India, there is a tradition of worshiping Bhairav as the family deity.
According to the scriptures, on this day, by taking bath with holy water in the morning, performing Shraddha and offering to ancestors, worshiping Bhairavji and fasting, all obstacles are eliminated. Desired results can be achieved by seeing Kaal Bhairav, lighting a lamp with sesame oil, worshipping, offering coconut and vermilion. Apart from this, happiness and peace in the family along with prosperity also protects health. By worshiping and worshiping Bhairavji, all ghosts, vampires and time i.e. untimely death etc. stay away. There are two forms of Lord Shiva mentioned in the scriptures, the first is Vishweshwar, healthy and the second is Kaal Bhairav. The first form is Vishweshwar, very gentle and calm. It gives fearlessness to the devotees as well as provides happiness, peace and health to the devotees. The second form is the form of Kaal Bhairav who punishes the wicked. Bhairav form is of Roud form. To avoid the fear of time in Kaliyuga, worshiping Kalbhairav is the best solution because Bhairav is the awakened god of Kaliyuga.
