Bikaner News Desk: Trying to go viral on social media often lands in trouble. One such example has been seen in Sridungargarh, Bikaner, where a young man hacked the account of a minor girl. On November 15, a hacker hacked the Instagram account of a minor girl in a village of Seruna police station area. Threatened to download photos and videos of the girl from Instagram and make them viral by editing them. Demanded cash from a 16 year old girl. The father of the distressed girl reached the police station and requested the police to take strict action against the hacker. Police officer Indra Kumar, who is investigating the case, said – Cyber cell has been activated and information about the unknown hacker is being collected. In the new laws, provisions for strict punishment have been prescribed in cases of cyber crime, in which the scope of punishment has also increased.

The account of the minor student was hacked and a video was also uploaded on it. Investigating officer Indra Kumar said- This video is objectionable. In such a situation, his family informed him that this wrong video was uploaded. Upon investigation it was found that the girl had not done this. Some unknown person hacked Instagram and uploaded this video. Police are investigating whether this work was done by stealing the girl’s user ID and password or whether it was hacked.
