Bikaner: If you want to avoid cyber fraud, then these are seven important measures.

Bikaner : Bikaner Every class is the target of vicious cyber thugs who commit online fraud. Especially the elderly, parents of youth studying and working abroad, engineers, doctors etc. These vicious thugs are extorting crores of rupees by tricking children into getting involved in any crime and in the name of taking bank related information, giving loans and KYC etc. The figures of the district police are surprising. In the last one and a half year, 4 thousand 756 cases of cyber fraud were registered in the district. Cyber thugs victimized common people, employees, pensioners, engineers, doctors and other categories of people and cheated them to the tune of Rs 26 crore 56 lakh 88 thousand 907. Due to the efforts of the police, Rs 2 crore 70 lakh 18 thousand 312 could be returned to the people. Also, Rs 2 crore 74 lakh 13 thousand 249 were contacted and put on hold by the concerned banks, due to which the fraudsters were not able to grab the huge amount.

No weapons, no weapons…this is how they deliver deadly attacks on targets.

According to Shiv Kumar Sharma, programmer of cyber police station, digital arrest is an advanced method of cyber crime. In digital arrest, a cyber thug takes people hostage in their own homes through video calls. First of all the thug pretends to be a police officer and makes a video call. He says that Aadhar card, SIM card, bank account have been used for some illegal activities. After this the ‘game’ of intimidation begins. During this time, the criminal neither allows the other person to leave the video call nor allows anyone to make the call.
