Bikaner : Bikaner Like every year, this time International Camel Festival will be organized in Bikaner from 9th to 11th January. There will be a cultural night of big artists of the country in Junagadh, while like last year, there will be other events including camel race and dance at the Camel Research Center. Additional District Collector (Administration) Dr. Dulichand Meena said that the International Camel Festival will showcase local art and culture. will be added. Aspects related to traditional costumes and food will also be included in it. ADM City Ramesh Dev said that various cultural organizations of Bikaner will be made partners in organizing the festival. Include new activities so that local artists can also get a platform here. CEO Zilla Parishad Sohanlal said that public lighting, road repair etc. will be done on time for the event to be held in Raiser. He asked the police to maintain adequate security arrangements at all the event venues.
Deputy Director Tourism Anil Rathod said that the main event of the International Camel Festival will be held on 11 and 12 February.
Various activities will be organized at NRCC on January 11, the first day of the main event. There will be various events including camel dance, fur cutting, camel decoration, camel race and horse race. On the same day, a procession will be organized from Junagadh to Karni Singh Stadium. In which local folk artists will be part of the procession on decorated camels. NCC, NSS cadets and other participants will participate in it. On the same day, traditional costume based show Miss Bikaner and Dhola Marwan competitions will be organized at Dr. Karni Singh Stadium. Attractive performances will be given by folk artists in the cultural evening at Dr. Karni Singh Stadium at night. On January 12, the main event will be held in Raiser, where rural games and various competitions will be the center of attraction. Under this, various activities will be organized including turban tying, wrestling, kabaddi, kho kho, turban tying for domestic and foreign tourists, matka race. Events like sand art exhibition, handicraft, mehndi rangoli competition will be organized in these dhors. Besides, Camel Safari will also be organized here. A folk night will be organized at the Dhors of Raiser in which attractive performances will be given by various artists. Besides, the famous fire dance of Jasnathji sect will be presented.
Cultural Night program will be organized by Hotel Federation of Rajasthan in Junagadh.
In the meeting, a proposal was given by the representatives of Hotel Federation of Rajasthan to organize a cultural night in Junagadh premises. This event will be held as a cultural night on 9th and 10th January. In which there will be display of local traditional costumes, jewelery based fashion show and local cuisine based stalls etc. In the meeting, Vinod Bhojak associated with tourism business including District Tourism Officer Pawan Kumar Sharma, Gopal Chauhan of Lokayan Sanstha, Anand Vyas of Guide Association, Assistant Tourism Officer Yogesh Rai, representatives of travel trade and camp operators based in Raisar were present.
