Bikaner Mayor’s tenure ends, Collector takes charge

Bikaner : Bikaner Administrators have been appointed in 49 civic bodies of Rajasthan whose tenure has expired. After the tenure of Bikaner Municipal Corporation also ended on Monday, the District Collector has been given the responsibility of Administrator instead of Mayor. In such a situation, the work of the Corporation Mayor will now have to be done by the District Collector instead of the Mayor. Bikaner Municipal Corporation Mayor Sushila Kanwar has now become the former mayor. With this the councilor also resigned. Now the responsibility of Municipal Corporation will directly rest with Collector Namrata Vrishni. In fact, after the completion of the tenure of the Mayor, the government has entrusted him with the responsibility of Administrator in the Municipal Corporation. The mayor’s tenure ended on 25 November. In such a situation, a camp of BJP was hopeful that the tenure would be extended till January. This could not happen.

Tenure of 49 bodies completed

Administrators have been appointed in 49 civic bodies of Rajasthan. In all these, the tenure of the elected board completed on 25th November. Out of these, where there is Municipal Council, Additional Collector has been appointed, SDO in Municipal Corporation and Collector has been appointed as Administrator in Municipal Corporations. These include Alwar, Pali and Bharatpur Municipal Corporations including Bikaner where the Collector has been made the Administrator.
