This is the reason why the jail administration has taken up the responsibility of serving tasty and nutritious food to the prisoners. To make the plates of the prisoners tasty and nutritious, the prisoners preparing food in the jail have been trained so that they can prepare tasty and nutritious food. 45 prisoners working in the prison kitchen have been given special training in cooking. This training was given to him by Cook Havildar Karanjit Das of Border Security Force. The cooks trained the cadres on quality methods from cutting and cooking vegetables to cooking pulses and preparing breakfast.

Food is prepared for about 1400 people daily in the prison. In such a situation, due to the prisoners not being trained, the food was not being made nutritious and tasty. Due to this, the prisoners were not able to eat their full meal with interest. His health was definitely being affected. Many times, the jail administration had to face uncomfortable situations along with the dissatisfaction of the prisoners regarding the quality of food. In view of this, Jail Superintendent Suman Maliwal discussed this matter with the Jail DG and suggested to provide training to the people working in the jail canteen, which was accepted by the Jail DG. After this, Jail Superintendent Maliwal contacted Sanjay Tiwari, Commandant of 124 Bn of BSF.
Prisoners will get remuneration and employment after release
The jail administration has a dual objective behind training the prisoners in food preparation. First, to make the prisoners self-reliant, so that they can gain expertise in cooking food in jail. They will also continue to receive wages in jail. Secondly, after being released from jail, they will be able to do their own employment. You will be able to work as a cook in a hotel, dhaba or run your own dhaba. Even under moral education, prisoners are being taught to cook and feed themselves food in the jail against the anti-social elements who snatch and eat it.
