Sirohi : The 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda will be celebrated as Tribal Pride Day on 15 November 2024. In the same sequence, Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan program will also be organized. The program will be organized on November 15 at 10 am at Manmohini Hall, Brahma Kumari Institute, Abu Road. In this regard, District Collector Alpa Chaudhary said on Thursday that the Honorable Prime Minister had launched the Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand on 02 October 2024. Dharti Aaba Tribal Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan aims to develop more than 63 thousand tribal dominated villages and villages in aspirational districts. The budget outlay of the Mission for improving the socio-economic condition of tribal communities is Rs 79,156 crore.
The Mission will cover 549 districts and 2740 blocks spread across all tribal dominated villages in 30 States and Union Territories, benefiting more than 5 crore tribal people. The mission has 25 schemes, which will be implemented by 17 line ministries. Each Ministry Department will implement it in a time bound manner through the funds allocated to them under the Development Action Plan for Scheduled Tribes over 5 years (from 2024-2025 to 2028-2029). This initiative is an important step in furthering tribal development which reflects our commitment to improve the social and economic conditions in tribal dominated villages.
Sirohi district covers 131 villages of 5 Panchayat Samitis. Which includes 77 villages of Abu Road, 40 villages of Pindwara, 2 villages of Sirohi, 6 villages of Revdar and 6 villages of Shivganj. He said that to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, November 15, 2024 will be celebrated as Tribal Pride Day. In this sequence, the district level program of Dharti Aaba Tribe Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan has been organized at Manmohini Hall, Brahma Kumari Institute, Abu Road at 10 am. In which live address of the Honorable Prime Minister, cultural programs and departmental schemes will be publicized and along with this a health camp will also be organized in Gram Panchayat Nichlagarh.
