There are two seats where a triangular fight is expected. Local parties are giving competition to BJP and Congress on those seats.
Congress and BJP considering triangular contest in Khinvsar
Khinvsar assembly seat of Nagaur district is considered a triangular contest by BJP and Congress. However, all the elections held so far on this assembly seat. Hanuman Beniwal kept winning every time. In the last elections, BJP’s Rewant Ram gave a tough competition to Beniwal. In such a situation, the party has fielded it for the second consecutive time. Many ministers, MLAs and party officials including Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma are campaigning in support of Revantram. On the other hand, Congress has fielded Dr. Ratan Chaudhary, wife of former IPS Sawai Singh. Both Congress and BJP are considering their respective candidates as strong. Hanuman Beniwal’s wife Kanika is a candidate from RLP to take on both of them.
Even in Chaurasi, Congress and BJP consider themselves in competition.
The local party also dominates the Chaurasi assembly seat of Dungarpur district. In the last two elections, both Congress and BJP lost and regional party candidate Rajkumar Rot managed to win the elections. This time too, the candidate of Rajkumar Rot’s choice is in the fray. A large section of the tribal community, including Rot, unanimously made Anil Katara the candidate. Congress has tried to make the elections interesting by giving ticket to Mahesh Rot, a young leader of the tribal community. On the other hand, BJP has made Karilal Nanoma its candidate.
