Jaipur : BJP has declared candidates for the by-election on eighty-four seats of Rajasthan. BJP has fielded Karilal Nanoma. BJP candidate Namoma is the chief from Simalwada in Dungarpur district. The situation has become clear after the announcement of the candidate by BJP. Congress and BAP have already declared candidates on this seat, due to which there will be a triangular contest. Rajkumar Roat was elected MLA from Chaurasi in the 2023 assembly elections from this seat. But in the Lok Sabha elections held six months later, he was elected MP from Banswara-Dungarpur seat. The by-election was announced after Rot was elected as a Lok Sabha member.
Congress bet on young faces
29 year old young face Mahesh Rot has been fielded on the eighty-fourth seat of Dungarpur district. Mahesh Roat is the Sarpanch of Sansarpur Panchayat, before this he has been the former student union president of Udaipur College and a leader of Youth Congress. Mahesh Roat is the sarpanch from Sansarpur Panchayat.
There was a split in BAP after the ticket announcement!
Bharat Adivasi Party had declared Anil Katara as its candidate on this seat. There have also been indications of rebellion after the announcement of the name of the current Zilla Parishad member from Chikhali area in Chaurasi. Popat Khokhriya had expressed his displeasure through a post on social media. After which it was being said for this founding member that he could rebel.
