Dungarpur : Body and Panchayat by-elections 2024 were held in Dungarpur district on June 30. Under this, voting was held for the post of councilor of Municipal Council Ward 26 and Sabla Panchayat Samiti Ward 10. After which counting of votes took place today i.e. on Monday. In this, the BJP candidate won the post of councilor, while the candidate of Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) won in Ward 10 of Sabla Panchayat Samiti.
BJP’s Jagannath Bhoi registered victory
Counting of votes for councillor by-election in ward number 26 of Nagar Parishad Dungarpur was held today on Monday. The counting of votes was completed in 5 minutes and the results were also declared. In this election, BJP’s Jagannath Bhoi won by 286 votes. BJP’s Jagannath got 308 votes while Congress got only 22 votes. After the victory in the by-election, happiness was seen among the BJP workers in the city and fireworks were done.
In ward 10 of Sabla Panchayat Samiti, the father’s name was heard
After the voting in ward 10 of Sabla Panchayat Samiti, counting of votes was done in the Panchayat Samiti. In which Surya Meena of Bharat Adivasi Party (Baap) defeated Meera of Congress by 1050 votes. Surya of Bharat Adivasi Party got 1474 votes while Meera of Congress got 424 and Kesar of BJP got 319 votes. Here, there is an atmosphere of celebration among the workers on the victory of Bharat Adivasi Party.
By-elections were held on Sunday
It is worth noting that by-elections were held on Sunday for councillor in ward number 26 of Dungarpur Municipal Council, ward 10 member of Sabla Panchayat Samiti and ward panch. In ward number 26, Jagannath Bhoi from BJP and Jawaharlal Panchal from Congress are the candidates. A tough fight was witnessed between the two.
