Many big leaders including State President Madan Rathod and former Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathod have visited Salumber in support of the party candidate. 67.7 percent voting in Salumber

In the assembly by-election 2024, 67.7 percent voters in Salumber assembly constituency used their franchise. District Election Officer Arvind Poswal said that out of total 297977 voters, 201739 voters exercised their franchise in the voting held at 296 main and 6 auxiliary booths in Salumber area. In this, out of 151547 male voters, 101199 (66.77 percent) and out of 146430 female voters, 100540 (68.66 percent) voted.

Third round counting increases Congress’s worries, trailing by so many votes

Counting of votes for Salumber by-election is going on peacefully amid proper security arrangements. Election Observer J Vijaya Rani, District Election Officer Arvind Poswal, District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal, Deputy District Election Officer Deependra Singh Rathod etc. are present. The third round of counting is going on under the direction of Returning Officer Parvat Singh Chundawat. According to the current trends, BJP is at 14436 and Congress at 7015.

BAP trails BJP till fourth round, ahead by so many votes

A big update has come out from Salumbar, where Bharatiya Adivasi Party’s Jitesh Kumar Katara is seen winning. As per the results till the fourth round of counting of by-election, BAP candidate Jitesh Kumar Katara got 17922 votes. BJP’s Shanta Meena got 13058 votes and Congress’s Reshma Meena got 6132 votes.
