BJP made big changes in the schemes which were praised by Congress, debate started

Jaipur : There is a tradition of changing the face and nature of school and higher education in the state every five years. Yes… Congress government changes the schemes and names of BJP government and Congress changes the schemes of BJP. During its last tenure, the education schemes for which the Congress government was praised have been changed by the current BJP government along with their names and work. In the last few months, the BJP government has made many changes from school education to higher education. Although some people are liking the changes, some are also expressing displeasure. However, the government is currently working on educational reforms.

Name and rules changed in foreign education

The previous Congress government of Rajasthan started the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence scheme to provide education to promising students in higher education institutions abroad at government expense. The BJP government renamed the scheme as Swami Vivekanand Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Whereas earlier 500 students were sent abroad, now only 300 students are being given the opportunity.

Reality: The students who have been sent abroad for studies by the government are not being paid scholarships. Students are studying by taking loans. Students have not been given money even for boarding and lodging.

First opened 300, now preparing to merge

The Congress government opened about 300 new colleges in the last two years of its tenure. These were run on society. The BJP government formed a committee to review these colleges. Now there are plans to merge 200 of the 300 new colleges and run 100 colleges at the government level.
Reality: Many colleges in the state have neither buildings nor resources nor teachers. Studies are not being conducted in government colleges as per the new education policy. In such a situation, teachers and basic facilities are needed to improve the quality of education in colleges.

Changes in schooling

The color of the bicycle changed with the governments
In Rajasthan, the colour of the bicycles of school girls keeps changing with the change of government. The Congress government changes the colour of the bicycles to black, while the BJP government changes it to saffron.

Preparation of coarse cereal instead of milk

The Congress government had started the Chief Minister Bol Gopal Dudh Yojana. The BJP government changed the name of the scheme to Pannadhay Bal Gopal Yojana. Along with this, the BJP government is now also considering giving coarse grains instead of milk under the scheme.

Mahatma Gandhi School stuck in Hindi-English

The Congress government opened Mahatma Gandhi English medium schools during its tenure and garnered accolades. But after the BJP government came to power, preparations were made to convert the English medium schools back to Hindi medium. Many schools have also been converted.
Preparations to give uniforms, not clothes
The Congress government started a scheme to provide free dress material to 68 lakh children up to class 8. Arrangements were made to send the money for dress material directly to the children’s accounts. But the BJP government is preparing to give uniforms to the children instead of clothes.
Government should pay attention to these too
– The condition of government school buildings is not good. The dilapidated buildings need renovation.
– Two to three schools are being run in the same school. There is a shortage of teachers in these.
– No significant changes have been seen in government schools yet under the new education policy.
– There are no English teachers in Mahatma Gandhi English medium schools.
those responsible said this
Education Minister Madan Dilawar said that whatever changes are being made in education are as per the demand of parents and children. Proposals for converting schools from English medium to Hindi are being sent by the parents themselves. We are also paying attention to the quality of education.
Former Education Minister BD Kalla said that the Congress government did not touch the BJP’s schemes after coming to power. Whatever schemes were started in education, they were done according to the demand of the public. The BJP government is changing the schemes by doing politics. There is opposition among the people. The quality education of the state has been put on hold.

Politics is taking over education- Radheshyam Sharma

Former Deputy Director of Education Radheshyam Sharma said that politics is dominating education. Governments make changes according to their ideology. There is a shortage of teachers in schools and colleges. There are many tasks that need to be done, including increasing enrollment of children, quality training of teachers, increasing the number of posts, starting skill courses, implementing the new education policy. The same officials who implemented schemes with the Congress government are changing those schemes with the BJP government.
