Jaipur : UP administration had instructed shopkeepers on the route of Kanwadiyas to write their names on the shops. When the matter reached the Supreme Court, the court put an interim stay. Now a statement has come from BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya in Rajasthan. Balmukund Acharya said that Uttar Pradesh has made a good beginning, any businessman doing any business should not hide his identity.
“There should not be a meat shop on the route of Kanwadiyas”
BJP MLA Acharya Balmukund Acharya said that there should not be any meat shop on the route of Kanwariyas. He has requested the government that this arrangement should be made for Kanwariyas. He will appeal to the Supreme Court and request to tell the truth.
“Hiding your identity means there is something fishy”
He said that hiding one’s identity means that there is some discrepancy. If he is Rahim and writes Radhe-Radhey or if he is Radhe Radhe and writes Rahim, then it is not right. If he does his work without hiding his identity, then it is a good thing. Go anywhere in Rajasthan or Jaipur. The Kanwariyas are very enthusiastic.
“The route of the Kanwadis should be clean”
Balmukund Acharya said that the non-veg shops open on the Kanwar route give out foul smell. There is filth lying there. The mind gets spoilt on seeing non-veg. The route of the Kanwariyas should be clean. The Kanwariyas should not face any hindrance. When the Tazia procession comes out, the shopkeepers keep their shops closed. They make arrangements for it. Many Sanatanis make arrangements for refreshments.
Balmukund Acharya said- I myself saw the dhaba where there was a problem
MLA Balmukund Acharya said that while coming from Gujarat, I myself saw a dhaba where there were two mistakes. Firstly, it was written there, ‘Pavitra Bhojanalaya’. But, after going back there, I found out that there is some wrong happening there. There was a photo of Sai Baba there. But, that person was not a believer of Sai Baba. Mistakes happen, only then such things are demanded, there is nothing wrong in it. It is necessary to take care that no one’s fast is spoiled.
Court issued notice to Uttar Pradesh government
The Supreme Court has made a major intervention on the Uttar Pradesh government’s order to the shops and hawkers to write their names on the Kanwar Yatra route. In fact, on the petition challenging this decision, the Supreme Court has put an interim stay on the decision of the Uttarakhand and UP government. Not only this, the court has issued a notice to the UP, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh government in this matter. Under the interim order of the Supreme Court, now the state police cannot force shopkeepers to display their names. They can only be asked to display information about the food item. The Supreme Court said that shop owners should not be forced to display the names of their employees. The next hearing in the case will be on July 26.
The administration is pressuring to display the name
During the hearing, the Supreme Court asked whether this is a press statement or an order. CU Singh, on behalf of the petitioner, said that the UP administration is pressurizing shopkeepers to display their names and mobile numbers. No law gives the police the right to do this. The police only has the right to check what kind of food is being served. The name of the employee or the owner cannot be made mandatory.
