Jaipur : BJP MLA Rajendra Meena has written a letter to CM Bhajanlal Sharma to make Mahwa a new district. He has demanded to make Mahwa a district. Rajendra Meena is a BJP MLA from Mahwa. The MLA wrote in the letter that Mahwa is a major town of Dausa district located on Jaipur-Agra NH 21. It is a major road traffic junction of eastern Rajasthan. The MLA said that in terms of business, people from the area around 70-80 kilometers around this city do shopping.
Distance from district headquarter is 100-120KM
Near Mahwa is Balahadi town, which is famous in entire Rajasthan for making copper utensils. This town is about 70 kms from the district headquarters. The distance of the district headquarters for the remote villages of this tehsil is up to 100-120 kms. The areas and tehsils around Mahwa city like Vaira, Bhusavar, Nadbai, Halena (District Bharatpur), Laxmangarh, Kherli, Katumar, Raini and Gadhi Sawai Ram (District Alwar), Todabhim (District Gangapur City) and Baswa, Manpur, Sikrai and Aastha Dham Mehandipur Balaji Dham (District Dausa) areas and villages are also about 100-120 kms from their district headquarters.
There is also a Mandawar railway station

BJP government is reviewing 17 new districts
17 new districts were created in Rajasthan during the Gehlot government. Which is being reviewed in the BJP’s Bhajanlal government. Recently, the report of the investigation done on the new districts was submitted to the government. After this, a meeting of the cabinet sub-committee was called on this matter on Monday (September 2). It was being told that a final decision will be taken in this meeting regarding 17 new districts. But now no final decision has been taken in this meeting.
