New Delhi, December 3 (IANS). Delhi BJP protested outside Kejriwal’s house after the court sentenced AAP MLA Naresh Yadav to two years imprisonment in the 2016 Quran desecration case in Malerkotla district of Punjab.
Bharatiya Janata Party workers demand that Kejriwal expel Aam Aadmi Party MLA Naresh Yadav from the party. State President Virendra Sachdeva, BJP leader Vijendra Gupta participated in this protest. Many people from the minority community also staged a protest outside Kejriwal’s house.
Speaking to IANS, Virendra Sachdeva said, “When the court has sentenced Naresh Yadav to two years’ imprisonment in the case of sacrilege of the Holy Quran, then why doesn’t Kejriwal fire him? He is just pretending to get the votes of Muslims. Today the entire Indi alliance is silent. No one’s religious sentiments are being hurt. The religious sentiments of even the big Maulanas are not being hurt, because if the Aam Aadmi Party leader had said something, then the religious sentiments of all of them would have been hurt. I want to ask everyone what does secularism mean?
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vijendra Gupta said, “The amount of condemnation of this matter is less. This was a conspiracy by the Aam Aadmi Party leader to disturb the peace and tranquility of the country. These people say this to create riots.” He is the enemy of humanity. Why has his party not taken any action against him yet? Why has Naresh Yadav not been expelled from the party?
Speaking to IANS, Delhi BJP Minority Front General Secretary Aas Mohammad Malik said, “We will not tolerate the insult to the Quran by Kejriwal’s MLA. That’s why we are protesting here, and will continue to protest in the future also. Kejriwal’s support to the minorities is absolutely wrong. If he had supported him, he would have dismissed his MLA by now. The court has also given him a punishment of two years for taking the votes of the minorities. Just say such things.”
