Jaipur : Air India Express flight coming from Dubai to Jaipur received a bomb threat on Friday, after which an emergency landing of Flight IX 196 was made at Jaipur International Airport at around 1:20 pm. There were 189 passengers on board this flight, after deboarding them the security forces checked the entire plane. However, nothing suspicious was found during this search. After this, the flight was given clearance to take off again at around 5 am on Saturday morning.
40 flights received threat
This threat was given through email. At present, the teams of Airport Authority and Ministry of Civil Aviation are trying to catch the accused who sent the false email with the help of cyber experts. In the last few days, Indian Airlines companies have received bomb threats on about 40 flights, although later all these have been proved to be false. But due to these bogus threats, passengers are facing a lot of problems.
‘We are taking strict action’
On this matter, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said, ‘Ensuring the safety of our skies is my top priority. Recently, false bomb threats have been received from minors and pranksters. The Ministry of Civil Aviation is taking strict action and working together to ensure the safety of passengers and prevent any such incidents. I personally urge everyone to act responsibly, because together, we can avoid these inconveniences and maintain a safe and smooth travel experience for everyone.
Preparation to make ‘no-fly’ list
Not only this, the Civil Aviation Ministry is planning to implement strict rules, including putting criminals in the ‘no-fly’ list, to stop incidents of false bomb threats being received by airlines. Its purpose is to identify unruly passengers and ban them from boarding the plane.
Same thing happened 4 days ago
Four days ago, an emergency landing was made on a flight at Jaipur Airport after receiving a bomb threat. Indigo flight 6E-98 was going to Lucknow at that time. Even at that time, the security agencies were alerted and immediately reached near the runway, after which the flight going from Damam in Saudi Arabia to Lucknow was checked. However, even then no suspicious object was recovered.
