The verdict has come after five and a half years of the robbery and gang rape incident in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. The court has given a very harsh punishment to 6 accused. All have been sentenced to life imprisonment. This means that they will have to remain behind bars till their death, although they still have the right to appeal in the higher court. After Judge Abhilasha Sharma pronounced the verdict, all the accused have been sent to jail. The case was registered in Charbhuja police station area in December 2018 and was a very serious crime.

Actually, this incident happened with a family living in a village located in Charbhuja police station area. The family had given a part of their house to six labourers. They were living on rent. That night those labourers targeted their own landlord. They entered the house late at night and held the landlady hostage. They brought her out in a room and tied her up. After that they woke up the children and her father-in-law and brought them out as well, and also tied up the husband. After holding everyone hostage, they carried out a robbery in the house. After that, they stripped the woman completely naked in front of everyone and gang-raped her, the brutes kept raping the woman for four hours. On the other hand, the family members kept shedding tears.
Rajasthan court has now given severe punishment to the accused
After this incident, the robbers tied up their own landlord and took him with them so that they could make the landlords open the doors of other houses. They tried in two houses but it did not work. Later they went to the third house and committed the robbery. In this case, the police caught all the accused within two days. They have now been sentenced to life imprisonment. When the sentence was being pronounced, the victim’s family was sitting in the court, they could not control their tears.
