However, now in the order issued by the Mid-Day Meal Commissionerate, the amount of outstanding payment for 4 months amounting to Rs 261 crore 24 lakh has been released. This amount will go to the accounts of the schools and from there the cooks will receive it. Let us tell you that there was a lot of protest in Udaipur in September regarding honorarium. However, at that time, SDMC and school principals, on their own, met the one-time expenditure requirement at the local level. On the other hand, in the order issued by the Mid Day Meal Commissioner, it has been clarified that the amount for payment of food grains, cooking conversion, cook cum helper and other expenses has been released in the budget. Here, DEO Nanihal Singh said that the payment process will be started soon.
6 orders issued on the same day, Udaipur got Rs 13.46 crore
Recently, the matter of not receiving honorarium for 4 months had reached the Chief Minister. Although mostly the honorarium for 3 months has been issued simultaneously, but this time due to Diwali, the honorarium was to be issued, but due to certain reasons it was not issued. In such a situation, 6 orders were issued on the same day on 20th November. The budget is processed within two to three days of its being released. In this, Rs 73.46 crore was released in the first order, Rs 34.95 crore in the second order, Rs 32.47 crore in the third order, Rs 62.74 crore in the fourth order, Rs 29.85 crore in the fifth order and Rs 27.73 crore in the last order. However, the budget item is shown separately in all the orders.
In all these orders, a budget of Rs 13 crore 46 lakh has been released for Udaipur district. In this, there is budget only for cooks etc. for the schools of Udaipur (not Salumber). Currently, 2977 schools are running in Udaipur, where mid day meal is provided. At the same time, 600 schools have been shifted to Salumber and whose budget has been released separately.
